Made from white Australian stoneware clay with pale wood ash and grey carbon trapping.
This piece was fired in an Anagama wood kiln for 72 hours. Wood is fed into the kiln every ten minutes to keep the temperature inside climbing. The ash from the burning wood then flies through the kiln landing on pieces to create beautiful and unique colours. This makes each piece individual and irreplaceable. As this piece was at the front of the kiln it became quite textured with ash and has a small 'scar' where it became attached to another pot.
Wheel thrown in my Northern Rivers studio, perfect for a single bloom. Fired in the Middle Pocket Anagama.
Hand washing is recommended. Approx. 9.5cm H x 7.5cm W.
