FAQs

How do I care for my ceramics?

Lunio by Sofie pieces are food safe as well as being microwave and dishwasher safe (unless otherwise stated). Just like glassware sudden changes in temperature should be avoided and pieces can crack or break if treated roughly or dropped.

Will my piece look exactly like the photographs?

While I aim to photograph all pieces accurately small differences in glazing and shape do occur. This is due to the fact that each piece is handmade by me in my studio, any differences are intentional and demonstrate the true handmade nature of my work.

How can I pay for my order?

You can pay via Paypal or using Credit and Debit card.

Do you express ship?

Yes! It is not an option at checkout as a flat rate option is not available for express delivery, so please email lunioceramics@gmail.com for a quote. You can also find more information on our shipping policies here.

Do you ship worldwide?

Shipping is available world wide check out our shipping policies for price details. The customer is responsible for any taxes or duties that may be incurred during shipping.

What classifies something as a 'second'?

It is either a one off sample or has a small flaw, while still functional this means the piece can't be sold at full price.

Do you accept refunds or exchanges?

All sales are final, but please email me within 7 days if a piece has been damaged during postage.

Why is my package been posted in a reused box?

In an effort to reduce waste and environmental impact, packaging materials are collected and reused for orders. If new materials are used in the postage process, they are environmentally friendly options and are biodegradable or compostable.

Why do you donate $2 for every piece sold to Greenfleet?

In every aspect of my business I aim to be as sustainable and eco friendly as possible and so as a small step towards this goal $2 from every piece sold at Lunio by Sofie will be donated to Green Fleet an Australian not-for-profit who's mission is to restore Australian forests. You can find out more about them them on their website.

Do you do commissions?

Absolutely, email me with what you're wanting and I'll be happy to work with you through the process. Making time from start to finish is generally eight weeks, or you can order directly from the store. Please note that commissions larger than $200 require a 50% deposit upfront with the balance paid upon completion.
