Australian white stoneware clay with heavy grey carbon trapping.
This piece was fired in an Anagama wood kiln for 70 hours. Wood is fed into the kiln every five to ten minutes to keep the temperature inside climbing. The ash from the burning wood then flies through the kiln landing on pieces to create beautiful and unique colours. This makes each piece individual and irreplaceable. Please not there was a small crack in the rim of the vase, this has been filled with waterproof compound and covered with antique gold detailing.
Made with a combination of wheel thrown elements and handbuilt in my Northern Rivers studio. Dishwasher safe.
