Made from a white Australian stoneware clay with a Cobalt blue glaze covered in wood ash.
This piece was fired in an Anagama wood kiln for 72 hours. Wood is fed into the kiln every ten minutes to keep the temperature inside climbing. The ash from the burning wood then flies through the kiln landing on pieces to create beautiful and unique colours. This makes each piece individual and irreplaceable.
Please note this vase has a 'scar' where it got stuck to another piece during the firing. This is all part of the nature of wood firing and accepting imperfections.
Wheel thrown in my Northern Rivers studio, perfect for a small posey.
Hand washing is recommended. Approx. 9cm H x 7cm W.
