Made from white Australian stoneware clay with bright orange flashing (flashing is when the flame moves past a piece leaving colour behind) and purple flashing from a copper glaze.
This piece was fired in an Anagama wood kiln for 72 hours. Wood is fed into the kiln every ten minutes to keep the temperature inside climbing. The ash from the burning wood then flies through the kiln landing on pieces to create beautiful and unique colours. This makes each piece individual and irreplaceable.
Wheel thrown in my Northern Rivers studio, perfect for a small bouquet. Fired in the Middle Pocket Anagama.
