Made from a mix of iron rich and smooth white Australian stoneware clays.
This piece was fired in a Catenary wood kiln for 40 hours. Wood is fed into the kiln every few minutes to keep the temperature inside climbing. The introduction of soda at high temperatures flies through the kiln landing on pieces to draw out beautiful and unique colours from the clay and glazes. This makes each piece individual and irreplaceable.
Wheel thrown in my Northern Rivers studio, perfect for a single bloom. Fired in Jann Kesby's kiln.
