Made from sandy Japanese stoneware clay with a Hagi inspired white glaze.
This vase was wheel thrown with a hand carved foot in Sasayama during my three months working in Japan. This piece was fired in John Dix Anagama for over 60 hours. Wood is fed into the kiln every ten minutes to keep the temperature inside climbing. The ash from the burning wood flies through the kiln, landing on pieces to create beautiful and unique colours. This process makes each piece individual and irreplaceable.
Dishwasher safe however, hand washing is recommended. Approx. 13cm H x 7cm W.
